It’s getting to the point where I cringe every time I see this screen. The vast majority of the time if I see this, it means I’m not going to be able to leave a comment.
I’ve tried everything. I’ve used every part of the form that could conceivably be applied to me. No go. I cleared out my cookies. I made sure my pop ups were set right. Nothing I do seems to make a difference.
Am I the only one having trouble with this? Have you struggled to leave comments? Are you having trouble leaving them with me? If you tried to leave a comment and couldn’t, please email me at AliceAudreyJ at yahoo dot com.

You just have to be logged in to your gmail or google account and it should pick up on that!

I usually lurk, I love reading and stop by often. I have an easier time leaving a comment when playing a meme with a large group of people such as wordless wednesday, then it is ok to be kind of trite and vague in a comment. My problem is that I feel if I’m going to leave words behind they should say something and not be empty! For what it’s worth, even if I don’t comment you’ll know you have a follower that enjoys your blog.

just leaving comments (he he)

Doy! *clunking self on the side of the head.* Janet, that’s the one thing I didn’t think of.
LOL, Kaye. I know exactly how you feel. I also give myself permission to be trite and brief on memes but not on regular posts. Lately, though, it seems it slopped over a little into regular posts too, but so far no one has called me on it, so I still forgive myself.

It worked! It worked, it worked, it worked. I feel so liberated! Now all I have to do is log in every day so I can leave comments at will. Obnoxious, but a small price to pay.

Glad you finally figured out how to comment on “difficult” blogs!

I know, it’s so simple. I had already tried signing in, but was trying to do it through the form, the way Blogger used to let you, and couldn’t.

I’ve had problems a few times on other sites. But never on yours. Smooth sailing every time I visit your place. Hope you have a great day.

I’m glad you figured out your comment troubles – because we do enjoy hearing from you! I usually am the one to go around and visit because Andy says leaving a comment is too confusing. Sometimes we just e-mail a reply instead – that is usually quicker and allows things to be more personal too.

I hardly ever email. I find it much easier to simply click on the Comment By line and go visit and/ or leave my reply here.

Well, so far, so good.
Let me know if you didn’t get this comment, okay?

No problem here. But on the screen you showed, I can only leave comments if they have the Name/URL option
Comment by Nicholas — April 10, 2009 @ 7:12 pm
LOL, Unhinged. Um… yes, I got the comment.
Nicholas, for a while I was able to post on those that had the Name/URL option, but then even that started messing up. Then, last Thursday when I tried to do my rounds I signed in to gmail and STILL couldn’t leave comments.

haha, maybe I need to teach my readers too! Well…maybe it is because most of the comment button is too small to see…
I still prefer the old fasion way to comment box like you have in here
